Appreciation post: That one IT guy at my coffee shop who saved my work files
There's this little coffee shop on Elm Street I go to every Tuesday, and last month my laptop froze right as I was about to submit a big project. The barista noticed me panicking and said, 'Hey, have you tried turning off your auto-sync to public Wi-Fi?' I had no clue that was even a thing. Ever since I switched, I haven't had any weird pop-ups or slowdowns. Anyone else had a random stranger drop some simple security fix that stuck with them?

Those little tips from strangers always seem way more useful than any official tutorial I've read.

Wait until that barista drops a knowledge bomb on you about how your printer is probably haunted by 15 open browser tabs. I swear half my computer problems vanished after some kid at a gas station told me to stop clicking "Remember This Network" on public wifi. These random security wizards need to start their own YouTube channel before they disappear back into the mist.
