One guy told me my sleeper was 'too clean' and it changed my whole build

He said the brand new PSU cables sticking out of my 1998 beige tower was a dead giveaway, so I routed everything through a 20 year old IDE cable sleeve I had lying around. Now the only modern thing visible is the power button LED, anyone else go out of their way to hide even the case's internals?
