It reminds me of how people undervalue things just because they don't look flashy on the outside. I see it all the time with old trucks that have faded paint but run like a dream, or a beat-up toolbox that has all the right wrenches for the job. There's a laptop at my library that looks like it survived a flood but it boots up faster than half the new ones people buy. We get so caught up in the shiny new stuff that we forget the ugly workhorses are often the ones that just keep going. It's like that old beige case you got, it doesn't care what it looks like, it just does the work.

my buddy tried the same thing with an old Dell optiplex case he found at a thrift store. slapped in a used 3070 and a new psu and it actually runs Cyberpunk at medium settings smooth. the look on his face when he saw the framerate was priceless since the case still has that beat up office PC vibe. never judge a rig by its stickers i guess lol.
