Kept drilling my case fan holes wrong until I finally bought a $9 step bit
I was trying to fit a 120mm fan into an old Gateway 2000 tower last weekend and the hole saw kept walking, chewing up the front bezel on both tries. A guy at the Columbus Micro Center told me to grab a step bit and run the drill slow, and the third hole came out clean in maybe 40 seconds. Why does nobody talk about step bits when they tell you how to cut fan mounts?
