I finally accepted my 1992 Gateway case runs 15 degrees hot and that's fine

Everyone here posts these perfect sub-60C builds, but my Pentium-era tower with a 4070 inside hits 78C under load on a good day in Fresno. I added two front fans, recut the drive cage, and it still sits there like a warm brick, so I stopped chasing numbers and just game with headphones on. Anyone else decide thermals are less important than keeping a case that genuinely looks like it belongs in a tax office?

78C is practically cold for that setup, you bought a tax office relic so expect it to roast.

Ha, yeah, that's one way to look at it. I guess "warm" is just a relative term when the thing was designed in an era when they thought fans were optional. Honestly, as long as it doesn't melt my desk or sound like a jet engine taking off, I'll call it a win.
