Finally swapped an old Pentium III case into a modern build last weekend

I used to just gut the whole thing and start fresh, but this time I kept the original drive bay layout and cable managed around it. Took me 3 hours longer than my usual builds has anyone else found old cases that fight you on clearance?

Honestly I had a buddy who tried the same thing with an old beige Gateway case from like 2001 and he spent almost four hours trying to get a modern power supply to fit without blocking the CPU fan. He ended up having to dremel out part of the drive cage just to make it work and the temps were still terrible after all that effort. @seth_green85 I get where you're coming from about nostalgia points but sometimes the struggle is half the fun even if it's not the most practical build. Ngl my friend says he'd do it again though just because it looks hilarious sitting next to his RGB setup. The clearance issues are real especially with those old steel cases that have zero room behind the motherboard tray.

Three hours of extra cable management for an old case that's probably not even that cool? You do you but seems like a lot of effort for nostalgia points.
