Built 3 sleepers before I learned airflow matters more than hiding wires
I spent months cramming a 4070 into a old Dell Optiplex case from 2004, making it look totally stock on the outside. Everything ran fine for gaming, but after about 45 minutes the GPU fans would spin up like a jet engine and the frame rate would start to stutter. Turns out I had blocked the only intake vent with a thick bundle of SATA cables running right in front of it. A buddy over at a LAN party in Portland pointed it out after he touched the side panel and nearly burned his hand. I rerouted everything with some basic zip ties and a dremel cut for a second fan spot, and now it runs 15 degrees cooler under load. Has anyone else run into heat issues with these small office cases?

Yeah, those things are built like tanks... that'll cut your fingers off.
