Buddy laughed at my sleeper build until he saw the benchmarks pop up

Was hanging with my friend Mark last weekend and he kept roasting my old Dell Optiplex case sitting on my desk. He's all about those glass panels and RGB strips, like that's the only way to have a good PC. I told him to plug in and try running Cyberpunk on ultra settings, just to shut him up. His face when the FPS counter hit 120 and the fans barely spun up was priceless. He finally got why I scavenge old office cases from Goodwill for $10 and drop modern parts inside. Anyone else have friends who think sleeper builds are just trash PCs until they actually touch the hardware?

Yeah but the real flex nobody talks about is theft deterrence. I dropped a 4070 and a noctua cooler into a beat up HP Compaq 6000 from 2009, case has a dent and a sticker from some insurance company. Left it in my car overnight once with the windows down by accident, nobody touched it. My buddy's RGB rig got jacked from his trunk in like 20 minutes. People see a sleeper and just assume it's e-waste. Plus you never have to worry about some drunk guest spilling a drink on it at a party, they'd probably set their beer on top of it thinking it's a footstool.
