Broke a tempered glass side panel on an old beige case within 5 minutes

I was so excited to slide my new GPU into this early 2000s Compaq case in my garage, but I bumped the desk with my hip and the glass just exploded across the concrete. Had to order a replacement panel from a custom shop in Ohio for $40 and wait 2 weeks before I could even test the thing. Anyone else ever have a build day go south that fast?
