Why does nobody talk about how boring sea days actually are
Went on a 7 day Caribbean run out of Miami 3 years ago with 3 sea days and by day 2 I was just walking laps past the same guy in the same deck chair. Everyone online acts like sea days are the whole point, but there's only so many times I can eat soft serve and stare at water. Give me a port every single day, even if it's Nassau. Am I the only one who books cruises based mostly on how few sea days there are?
Read a thing where a cruise director said the line designs ships around sea days now because they make way more money when everyone is stuck onboard, which explains why they keep adding them. That tracks with what you saw, because once the shows and the pool get old you end up buying drinks and spa stuff just to kill time. Port heavy trips are the move, and Nassau beats another lap around the deck any day.
