Took a 7-day Caribbean on a big ship, then a 4-day on a tiny one, and I'll never go big again
Honestly, I did a 7-day on one of those 4,000-passenger ships out of Miami in March, then a 4-day on a 700-passenger boat out of San Juan two months later. The big one felt like a floating mall with 20-minute waits for everything, and I paid $14 for a drink I had to fight a crowd to order. The small one got me into St. Barts and a tiny spot in the BVI that the big ships can't even dock at, and the crew knew my name by day two. Ngl, the smaller ship cost more per night, but I actually felt like I was on a trip instead of at a casino with a pool. Has anyone else made this switch, or am I just done with the mega ships for good?
