Rant: Everyone treats the buffet like a race and it ruins the point of cruising
On the Carnival Sunshine last month, I watched people pile $40 worth of shrimp at 11am when the real dinner spread at 6pm had the same stuff and no line, so why not just wait 7 hours and actually taste your food instead of hoarding it like the ship is sinking?
$40 worth of shrimp at 11am" is honestly the wildest thing I've read today. Like, who eats that much cold shrimp before lunch and then still wants to hit the buffet again a few hours later?
I get that people want their money's worth, but hoarding food like the ship's going down just makes you miserable and bloated for the rest of the day. That's not a vacation, that's a food fight with yourself.
Some folks treat the buffet like a competition, and that's exactly why I skip it and grab a burger by the pool instead.
