Found out last week that a cruise ship makes its own fresh water, I had no idea
I was on a 7 day trip out of Miami and got talking to an engineer in the buffet, and he told me the ship turns seawater into about 500,000 gallons of fresh water a day through something called reverse osmosis. I honestly thought they just filled up at port like a gas station, so that number blew my mind. Does anyone know what happens to all that leftover salt water they pull out?
