I used to think critique groups were a waste of time for prompt writers, but then I read a breakdown that said 78% of serialized stories with active feedback loops got finished, versus 31% for solo writers. That number came from a forum survey on r/writing, and it made me look at my own unfinished WIP folder. I realized my drafts stall because I never get outside eyes until chapter 10. So last week I joined a small group that meets on Discord, and the first round of notes already caught a pacing hole I missed. Has anyone else found a stat that pushed them to try a writing habit they avoided? Or do you prefer keeping prompts to yourself until they're done?

My gym buddy lost 40 pounds when he started logging workouts with a partner instead of alone, same idea as your 78% stat. People follow through more when someone's waiting on them, whether it's lifting or writing chapters.
