Question about paying $30 for a prompt generator app

I spent $30 on this app called PromptCraft that claims to generate unique writing prompts based on your genre. (I got it after seeing an ad on Instagram, big mistake maybe.) At first I thought it was cool because it gave me like 50 prompts in one sitting for my fantasy novel. But after a week I noticed the prompts were all kind of similar, just swapping out words like dragon for wizard. I'm wondering if I should have just used free subreddits or websites instead. Has anyone else tried one of these paid prompt tools and actually found it helpful for getting unstuck?

Right there with you... I downloaded a similar paid prompt app last month and after three days every single prompt felt like the same thing with a different coat of paint. Honestly the free prompt threads on here have way more variety and actual creativity than anything those paid apps ever spat out. You definitely didn't miss out by spending that money, just take it as a lesson learned and stick with the free stuff.
