Overheard a waitress say 'everyone has a book in them' and it got me thinking

I was sitting at a diner in Amarillo last week after a long haul, just zoning out over coffee. The waitress was talking to this older guy at the next booth, and she said 'everyone has a book in them, it's just a matter of getting it out.' I don't know why but it hit me right in the gut. I've been driving trucks for 12 years and I see so much crazy stuff on the road, weird signs, strange people at rest stops, the way the light hits the desert at sunset. I never thought about writing any of it down but now I kinda want to try. Has anyone else here started writing just because some random comment stuck with you? What would you even write about if you had to pick one story?
