A guy in my Saturday write-in group said my 'character sketch' was just a list of facts, and it stung because he was right
I'd been writing 400 word profiles of people with no wants, no problems, and no reason to move, which is why every one of them sat there like a DMV form, so now I write one line of want and one line of trouble before anything else, and I'm wondering if anyone else had a starter prompt that broke that habit for them.

Man, I actually think the facts are fine, it's just nobody ever told you to give them a problem to chew on.
