Went with the 40 ton over the 55 for a tight lot in Rochester, still second guessing it
Had a job last month near Rochester where the site was so tight I had to choose between squeezing in our 40 ton or bringing the 55 and setting up way out by the road. I went with the 40 to keep the radius short, and it worked, but I was at like 85 percent capacity on the pick and my butt was clenched the whole time. Now I'm wondering if I should've just ate the extra setup and taken the bigger machine. Anyone else run into a spot where the smaller crane makes the pick but you wish you had more cushion?
