Wasted $500 on a hydraulic oil that was supposed to be the best

I bought that high-end synthetic hydraulic oil from Greenway Supply last spring for my Grove RT540E. Everyone swore it would run cooler and extend pump life, but my seals started weeping within 3 months. Had to drain it all out and go back to standard AW32, plus pay for new seals out of pocket. Anyone else get burned by expensive oil that just didn't work?

Oh man, I gotta disagree with you here. I've been running that Greenway synthetic in my old John Deere for over a year with ZERO issues. Maybe you just got a bad batch or something was off with your seals beforehand.

Yeah, it's funny how the expensive stuff often lets you down while the basic stuff just works. Reminds me of how people hype up top-shelf car oil but my beater has run on cheap bulk oil for years with no problems.
