Vent: My Monday started with a 300-ton lift in a 25mph crosswind that made my coffee go cold before I could touch it.
The whole lift went smooth as glass because the new guy, Jake, remembered to check the tagline tension twice after I mentioned it once last Friday, which saved us from a nasty swing when a gust hit at 150 feet.

That's the best kind of Monday. The wind tries to ruin your coffee, but a good crew makes the job look easy. Jake paying attention like that is worth more than a hot drink. It's how you build a team you can trust up there. Sounds like you all earned an easy afternoon.

That 20 knot gust this morning was a real test. Parker_bell is right, a crew that watches each other's backs turns a tough day into a smooth one. It's those small acts, like Jake grabbing the rail, that build real trust way up high. You can't buy that kind of team focus, it just grows from days like this. They definitely earned a quiet pack-up later.

lol nah im gonna push back on this one. yeah the gust was tricky but acting like its some deep bonding thing is a bit much. its just doing your job, man. jake grabbed the rail because thats what youre supposed to do, not because hes some hero. if a 20 knot gust is the test of your crew's trust, maybe your standards are too low. id rather have a crew that can handle the wind without needing a heartwarming story about it. call me when you hit a real storm, then we can talk about earned team focus.
