TIL my crane cab before and after a deep clean is wild

Last month I finally cleaned out my cab on a Liebherr LTM 1050 after 6 months of buildup. Before it was just coffee cups, receipts, and mud caked on the floor mats. After I spent 2 hours with a shop vac and some Windex, I swear the controls felt smoother. Anybody else notice how much less annoying the beeping sounds get when your cab isn't a disaster zone?

Saw something the other day about how messing up your space actually makes you work slower because your brain has to process all that clutter. Makes sense when I think about it. A clean cab means you can focus on the actual job instead of hunting for a clean spot to put your coffee or stepping over empty wrappers. My dad drove trucks for 30 years and he always said a clean rig was a sign of a guy who pays attention to the little things. The beeping probably does feel less annoying because you aren't already irritated by the mess...

A clean cab is just a waste of time. Those two hours you spent cleaning could have been spent doing literally anything else. The mud on the floor mats and the coffee cups are part of the job - they remind you that you're actually working. A spotless cab just feels fake, like you're pretending to be in an office instead of on a site. The beeping sounds don't get less annoying either, you just notice them more because there's nothing else to distract you. Leave the dirt where it belongs and stop worrying about Windex.
