That time I laughed at a load chart until I almost tipped a 60 ton
I used to think load charts were just suggestions for nervous nellies. Last month I was picking a 14,000 lb transformer near Baton Rouge and the wind caught it. Checked the chart afterwards and realized I was 800 lbs over capacity for that radius. Now I keep a laminated copy in the cab and check it every single pick. Anybody else ever get humbled by your own overconfidence out here?
