Spent 6 months running my luffing jib with the wrong reeving pattern

A retired operator from a job site in Portland pointed out my crane was rigged for a different load chart and I had been losing 15% capacity the whole time, has anyone else had a senior guy save them from a stupid mistake?

Hang on, are we REALLY sure that was a 15% capacity loss or is that just what the old timer told you? I mean, I've seen guys get all worked up over reeving patterns that TECHNICALLY weren't perfect but the crane still lifted everything fine. Unless you were constantly maxing out the chart every single pick, I'm not convinced it was that big of a deal. Like, were you actually seeing the machine struggle or did he just freak you out with some chart numbers? I'd double check his math before I went and redid six months of rigging.

Hell yeah @parker_bell you're speaking my language. One time I worked with this guy who lost his mind cause someone used a 10oz sledge instead of a 12oz on a pin, said it'd throw the whole boom, ha.
