Older operator told me I was swinging the load too fast and it changed how I look at the whole job

No kidding, I bet that changed your whole rhythm on site. Pretty sure old timers think every load needs to look like it's floating on a cloud. Guess we all gotta learn the hard way that slow and steady wins the crane race.

Yeah "floating on a cloud" got me lol. Smooth is good but not when you're holding up the whole damn pour. We all learn that lesson eventually though, better to piss off the old timer than drop a load.
