Hit 10,000 lifts today without even noticing until I checked my log
I keep a little notebook in the cab, just jot down the basic stuff. Working a big tower crane on a hospital expansion outside Nashville. Today I was flipping through old pages and saw I crossed 10,000 individual picks. That number caught me off guard. I remember when I was green, nervous just lifting a pallet of bricks. Now it's muscle memory, but every one of those lifts had its own little risk, a different load, a different wind condition. It reminded me how much the small habits add up over time. Has anyone else hit a milestone that snuck up on you like that?

Laughing at the gym comparison, my notebook is mostly just scribbles like "windy again" and "that one guy waved too close." Your 300 bench presses sound a lot more repeatable than me hoisting a steel beam over a parking lot full of minivans. Guess we both just keep our heads down and let the numbers pile up.

and that's exactly the kind of thing that gets me at the gym honestly lol. i keep a little log too for my own training and one day i looked back and realized i'd benched over 300 times in a year without even thinking about it. it's wild how you can be so focused on the day to day grinding that the big numbers creep up on you like that. your crane thing is way cooler than my weights though haha i bet that notebook is full of some serious stories.
