Drove past that new job site in Pittsburgh and changed my mind about tower crane placement
I always thought putting the crane on the far end of the slab was dumb, but I saw them unloading steel beams yesterday and it saved like 15 minutes per lift because they didn't have to swing over the whole building. One of the operators told me the engineer ran the numbers and it cut total cycle time by 22%. Have any of you guys worked a site with offset crane placement?

My buddy had a job where they offset the crane and the concrete crew lost a full day fighting with swing radius.
