Working a wedding in Seattle showed me a new way to handle updos

I was doing bridal party hair for a huge outdoor ceremony last month, and the humidity was wrecking my usual spray-and-pray method. The lead stylist on site just grabbed a bottle of water and misted each section before pinning, which kept everything smooth and locked in place for hours. Do you have any other simple tricks for fighting frizz in damp weather?

Wow, I totally used to think you needed heavy products to fight humidity. Honestly, that water trick is a game changer. I started keeping a small spray bottle in my kit just for damp days. Tbh, a tiny bit of aloe vera gel smoothed over the hair before styling works too, it's way lighter than most anti-frizz stuff. Ngl, learning to work with the moisture instead of against it made a huge difference for me.

My hair is a total frizz bomb if I even look at a humid day wrong. That aloe vera gel tip from @finley939 sounds perfect for my fine hair that gets weighed down so easy. Do you spray the water on before you put the aloe in, or do you mix them together in your hands first? I tried just water once and it made my waves go totally limp, so I'm curious about the order you do things.
