Warning: I quit using strip lashes on my bridal clients and started using clusters, and my 9 AM bride in Dallas noticed
I had a bride last Saturday at 9 AM in Dallas who wanted a soft natural look, and I used to always reach for strip lashes out of habit. This time I tried individual clusters instead, and the difference was huge. They sat lighter on her lids, didn't lift at the inner corner by hour six, and she could actually blink without that stiff feeling. My last three brides have all mentioned how comfortable they felt, so I might not go back. Anyone else switch to clusters for long wear events, or do you still swear by strips?
A bride noticing something at 9 AM doesn't really prove much, most of them are running on adrenaline and coffee and would say anything looks great if you asked. Strips have worked for decades on thousands of brides, so one good Saturday with clusters isn't some big discovery. Lash glue and lid shape have way more to do with lifting at the inner corner than strip versus cluster does. If clusters work better for you that's fine, but calling it huge after a few brides is a stretch. Come back after fifty weddings and let me know if the strips are really gone for good.
