Vent: Remember when we all used to set color with those old plastic caps and a wall dryer?
I switched to a thermal processing cap about 5 years ago, and the heat distribution is so much better for my clients' curl patterns. What's one old-school technique you were happy to finally upgrade?

You mentioned the old plastic caps and wall dryers. I read a hair blog that said those could create uneven heat pockets. Switching to a thermal cap sounds like it fixes that main issue.

My old plastic cap from the drugstore had one hot spot right on top. I'd always end up with that one patch of hair bone dry while the rest was still damp. The thermal cap I got last year, the kind you heat in the microwave, spreads the warmth way more evenly. It feels like a gentle, all-over heat instead of a harsh blast. My deep conditioner actually works now because the heat is consistent.

Ever try the thermal cap with a regular towel? Made a huge difference for me.
