Used to swear by blunt cuts, now I'm all about texturizing.

Texturizing adds movement, blunt cuts can look flat. What's your view?

My sister's wedding photos from 2015 show her with a blunt cut that looks so stiff now. It's like we all go through phases where we want everything neat and in line. I see it in how people set up their homes too, from perfect matching furniture to more mixed and lived-in styles. With hair, that blunt cut was my safety zone for years, but it does hide your own flow. Texturizing lets the hair do its thing, which fits better with how life actually is, not so controlled. So yeah, moving from blunt to texture makes total sense as we get okay with more variety.

Blunt cuts were my safety blanket for ages (pretty sure I rocked the 'just escaped a wind tunnel' look). I insisted on that perfect line even though my hair naturally wants to do its own wavy thing. My 2013 driver's license photo is proof of that phase, all sharp edges and zero movement. Switching to layers was like letting my hair breathe, and now I'm all about that messy, real-life vibe.
