The one thing I keep seeing other stylists mess up with fine hair

I had a client come in last Tuesday who said her last stylist kept layering her thin hair too short, and it ended up looking stringy instead of full. How do you guys approach texturizing on fine strands without losing all the density?

Had a client once whose previous stylist razored her fine hair into what she called "feathers" and it was basically see-through. Learned that year that less really is more with texturizing shears on that hair type.

Had a trainwreck like that last spring... client came in with what looked like a sad feather duster on her head. The previous stylist chipped into her fine hair with heavy texturizing shears and it just left these empty gaps everywhere. I had to trim a good two inches off just to get the ends to look solid again. Now with fine hair I barely touch the shears at all, maybe a few careful snips near the ends but never into the midshaft. Less really is the secret here, you gotta let the hair keep its weight or it just falls apart.
