Last Saturday, a bride came in for a trial run and handed me a blurry photo of a celebrity hairstyle from 2005. She said, "Just wing it, you're the professional." I spent 45 minutes trying to recreate this messy bun waterfall thing that kept collapsing. Her hair is super thin and the photo showed someone with thick curly extensions. After three attempts, I gave her a sleek low bun and she loved it more anyway. Has anyone else had a client bring a completely unrealistic inspo pic and blame you when it doesn't work?

Why do clients always think thin hair can do what thick hair does in photos? @reese177 nailed it, physics just doesn't work that way. You saved her from a disaster and she ended up happy, so you still won in the end.

Oh man, I feel this so hard! It's like they hand you a Pinterest fantasy and expect a miracle, then get confused when physics doesn't cooperate. Three attempts is a solid effort, you are a saint for sticking with it that long! Her loving the sleek bun just proves clients don't always know what's actually best for their hair.
