That $150 color correction class I took was a complete waste

I paid $150 for a 3 hour online color correction class last month and the instructor spent half the time talking about her Instagram followers instead of actually teaching anything useful. Anyone else sit through a cosmetology class that was more about the teacher's ego than the material?

I took a color class last year with a stylist who spent 20 minutes showing us her hair transformation photos and not one second on actual formulation. I started asking her point blank during the hands on part, like "so for a level 4 base going to a copper, what ratio would you use for the demi?" and she actually had to stop and think. Sometimes you just gotta push them to teach by asking really specific questions in front of everyone.

The part about "talking about her Instagram followers" got me. That's exactly the kind of thing that makes me rage. I've sat through so many classes where the instructor just flexes their personal brand instead of showing actual techniques. It's like they forget we paid to learn, not to hear about their follower count. Total waste of your time and money.
