Started doing 30 second face masks before every brow wax, and my clients stopped flinching
I used to just wipe the brow area with witch hazel and go straight to wax, but 8 out of 10 clients would tense up the second the stick got near them, which always made the shape come out jagged. Now I slap on a cooling gel mask for 30 seconds first, just to calm the skin and let them breathe, and the wax grabs so much cleaner because there's no sweat or flinch reaction. Two other stylists at my salon in Reno tried it on their own clients and both said the same thing, less cleanup and fewer touch ups. What's your go to trick for keeping clients still during a wax?
