Spent $300 on a mobile booking app and it was a total waste

I got the 'StyleSeat Pro' plan last year thinking it would handle all my appointments. It just made things more confusing for my older regulars, and I lost a few bookings because of the glitchy reminders. Honestly, going back to my paper book and phone calls was the best move. Has anyone found a simple system that actually works for a small booth rental spot?

Feel your pain, that app sounds like a headache. Honestly, the real issue is forcing tech on clients who don't want it. I kept a digital calendar for myself but never forced online booking on my regulars, they just call or text me. The key is keeping your system simple for you, not trying to change how your clients already like to book. Maybe try a basic calendar app just for your own view and let people book the old way.

Yeah, that's the part that gets me. You try to make things easier with some new tool, and it just ends up making more work for everyone. I tried a booking system once and spent half my time fixing double bookings from people who just called anyway. Keeping a simple calendar for yourself and letting clients do what they're comfortable with is the only thing that's ever worked long term for me.
