Rant: I keep seeing people cut bangs way too short on wavy hair

It's a dry cut, not wet, and you have to account for the curl springing up. I saw a stylist at a salon in Austin do it last week and the client looked shocked. Anyone else have a go-to rule for this?

Yeah, that's a recipe for disaster. My last haircut went like that, and I ended up with these tiny little triangles above my eyebrows. The stylist just didn't get how much my waves would bounce up. Now I make a point to show them a picture of my hair dry before they even pick up the scissors. It forces them to see the real texture and length they're working with.
