I miss when a client's reference was a torn page from a magazine. These days, it's all about replicating edited social media photos, and it's exhausting. The consultations take twice as long just to manage expectations.

And it's not just about being close anymore, it has to be exact. I had a client send back a whole design because a line was two pixels off in one browser. Two pixels! Felixlewis, you asked if it's that bad, and yeah, it really is. The notes I get now are just lists of microscopic things no normal person would ever see. It makes every tiny fix take forever.
