Just read that the average client spends $750 a year on hair services, found it in a salon trade magazine at my dentist's office lol

Honestly that number seems way too low to me. I spend way more than that just on basic cuts and color every few months. If you add in any treatments or special products they push, it's easily double that. That average probably counts people who only get one cheap haircut a year. For anyone who actually cares about their hair, the real spending is a lot higher. They're not counting all the money people drop at the drugstore trying to fix a bad dye job either.

Disagree completely with you amyc22. The average kinda works if you think about it. Most people just get a basic trim a few times a year, maybe a box dye from Walmart. You're talking about what YOU do, but that's not what most people do. My sister spends like $40 a year on haircuts, just one quick trim at Great Clips. So her low spending pulls the average down against someone paying hundreds. And honestly, that drugstore fixer money isn't salon spending anyway, it's a whole different budget category.

But averages do include all those people.
