Got chemical burns from a toner at a salon in Denver last month
I was at a guest chair in a busy shop off Colfax and the toner they used had way too high of a developer. My scalp started stinging within 5 minutes and by the next day I had red marks along my hairline. The owner said it was my fault for having sensitive skin but I checked the bottle after and the ratio was off by 20 percent. Has anyone else run into salons cutting corners with developer mixes?

Holding the bottle and checking the math yourself is way more than most people would do. But honestly, 20 percent off is a pretty huge mistake for a professional to make. Even if your skin was sensitive, that ratio is just sloppy and dangerous, not your fault at all. I get why you're mad but it sounds like you handled it way better than the owner did by blaming you. Did they at least offer to fix it or refund you?
