Googled my old license number out of curiosity, turns out the state keeps them forever
I pulled up my first cosmetology license from 2004 in Florida and saw they listed the salon where I did my apprenticeship, which shut down in like 2009, so has anyone else ever looked up their old records and gotten weirdly nostalgic about a place that's been gone for over a decade?

Did you actually go back and look at your old work history? I did that with my nursing license a few years back and it listed the clinic I worked at fresh out of school. That place closed down in 2015 and I spent like an hour just staring at old photos I had from that time. It's wild how a boring list of employers can just hit you with all these memories you forgot you had. I ended up finding my old coworker on social media just to say hey, which was weirdly nice.
