Client's dog ate my $80 pair of shears, and the aftermath was wild
I was doing a balayage appointment in my home studio in Portland last Tuesday, and my client brought her golden retriever who chewed up my favorite thinning shears while I was mixing bleach in the back room. She offered to pay for them, but her dog also threw up on my station rug right as I turned around with the bowl, so we're both standing there in shock with purple vomit everywhere. Has anyone else had a pet disaster mid-service, and how did you handle the cleanup vibes without making the client feel terrible?
