Can we talk about the bridal party that made me change my whole consultation sheet?
I did a wedding party last June at a salon over in Fairview, six bridesmaids and the bride, and it turned into a nine hour day because nobody told me half of them wanted braided updos and the other half had extensions glued in from a different stylist. I had booked it as a normal blowout and curl block, so I was pulling pins out of my own kit at 11 pm trying to fake volume on three heads of fine hair. The bride's mom kept hovering and asking why it was taking so long, and honestly she was right to ask. Two of the girls had washed their hair that morning so nothing would hold, and one had a keratin treatment that made every pin slide right out. I ended up comping the whole thing $180 worth of extra product just to save face, which stung. Now I have every bride fill out a card for each person in the party, hair type, last wash, products, extensions, the whole thing, before I quote a price. What do you all put on your bridal intake that I might be missing?
