Blew out my airbrush mid-job on a bridal client yesterday

I was doing this bride's makeup at her hotel room downtown and my airbrush compressor just died halfway through her foundation. I had to switch to a beauty blender and hand apply everything in a panic. Has anyone else had their gear fail during a critical appointment and how did you handle it?

The "does anyone else" part is kinda off since you literally just said it happened to you. I'd call that more of a vent sesh than a real question. Most of us have had a backup plan fail at some point, so just get a small handheld compressor as a spare and keep it in a separate bag.

Right? Tell me about it. I had a CO2 inflator fail on me during a group ride last summer and it was the most embarrassing thing. The cartridge just wouldn't puncture properly and I was stuck on the side of the road for 20 minutes while everyone else just watched. I ended up having to borrow someone else's pump and I felt like an idiot. Now I carry a little electric one that's about the size of a water bottle and it's been a lifesaver at least twice already.
