A color correction in Portland went sideways on me last month
I was doing a full head of highlights for a regular client, aiming for a cool ash blonde. Halfway through, I saw the toner I grabbed was the wrong level and it started pulling way too green, especially at her roots. My stomach dropped. I stopped, mixed a quick corrective color with a warm, neutral base to cancel out the green, and applied it only to the problem areas for about 8 minutes. It worked perfectly, and she left happy with the exact color she wanted. Has anyone else had a toner panic and found a good fix for green tones?
