A client's comment about her grandmother's hair made me pause
I was doing a color correction for a regular, and she mentioned her grandma used to set her hair with sugar water and a comb. She said, 'She could make a wave last a week with just that and some pins.' It wasn't about the product, but the skill. I realized I rely so much on my $200 curling iron and mousse. Made me wonder what simple techniques we've lost track of. Anyone have an old-school method they still use and swear by?

Wait sugar water? Like from the kitchen? That's wild.
