A client told me my blending technique was too harsh and I switched to feathering
I used to do really sharp blending lines because I thought it looked more precise, but a client named Sarah said it made her highlights look choppy. So I started using a feathering motion instead and the difference in softness was huge. Has anyone else had a client's feedback totally change their go-to method?

kinda wild how one person's opinion can mess with your muscle memory like that. i had a client tell me my foils were too heavy handed and now i can't even look at a comb the same way without second guessing myself lol.

Question whether one client's comment should really have that much power over you though. Isn't it just their personal preference about how they like their foils, not some universal rule written in stone?

And once you switch it's like you can't even remember why you were doing the old way in the first place. It took me getting feedback from like three different people before I finally listened but now I'd never go back.
