A client asked me to fix a bad bleach job she got at the mall
Walked in last Wednesday for a simple trim. She looked nervous. Turned out a chain salon in Riverdale left her with orange banding and burnt ends. She paid $180 for that mess. Took me 4 hours to tone it right and cut off the damage. She cried when she saw the mirror. That moment stuck with me. Why do people keep trusting places that rush through everything?

Why do people keep trusting those mall places anyway? It's like they see the price tag and think they're getting a deal when really they're paying for someone who learned hair color from a YouTube video the night before. The worst part is the damage control always costs more in the long run. Your client paid $180 for a bad job and then probably dropped way more than that to get it fixed. People need to understand that good color work takes time and experience, not just a chair and a bottle of bleach.

Paid $180 for a mall dye job? Around here that's budget pricing, not a deal.
