A bride's mom told me my updo looked like a 'squirrel's nest' right before the ceremony...
I was so mad, but she was right, it was way too loose and messy. Now I always do a final 'shake test' before anyone walks out the door. Anyone have a better way to check for hidden flyaways?

Honestly, I'd take a squirrel's nest as a compliment. That loose, messy look is what I'm usually going for. The shake test sounds like a good way to ruin the vibe.

Lean into that squirrel nest look, @wyatt_ross27. I've actually started leaving a few strands loose on purpose because it catches the light weird and makes people do a double take. The shake test is just asking for helmet hair, which ruins the whole relaxed thing you're going for. Do you just finger comb it straight out of the shower or use anything to keep it from getting too wild?
