Why does nobody talk about how bad the data syncing is on site software?

Last Tuesday I was standing in a wet foundation pit in Austin trying to pull up a concrete schedule on my tablet and the app just kept spinning. I waited 4 minutes before it finally showed me a version from 3 days ago that didn't even have the latest pour date. Ended up calling the office to read it off a printed sheet like it's 1999. Has anyone else had their crew waste half a morning because the cloud sync decided to take a nap?

I really feel for you, standing in a muddy hole with a tablet that won't cooperate. That kind of wasted time adds up fast when you're trying to keep a pour on schedule. It's frustrating how something that's supposed to make our jobs easier just ends up being another headache to manage.

Saw a contractor on a different forum saying their whole team switched back to paper logs just for the syncing stuff. Made me laugh but honestly it's not even funny when you're the one stuck in the mud waiting.
