Tried Procore and Buildertrend back to back on a 40-unit apartment job in Austin
I used Buildertrend for the first 3 months and kept hitting walls with their sub communication tools. Switched to Procore last month and my subs are actually responding to RFIs now instead of ignoring them. Has anyone else noticed a big difference in how subs interact with these platforms?

Has Buildertrend always been that bad with subs or did I just get lucky with Procore? Night and day difference for me too.

Procore's sub management is light years ahead honestly. I used Buildertrend for about 18 months on a 40 unit townhome project and the sub portal was basically just a calendar with no real file sharing or rfis. Procore lets subs submit their own change orders and daily logs which cuts out so much back and forth. But I gotta say, you might be mixing up the timeline a bit. Buildertrend has improved their sub stuff in the last 2 years with their Pay to Vendor feature and the new mobile app, so it's not quite as bad as it used to be. Still a pain to get started though.
